The most famous building on the island of Usedom and at the same time the landmark of the seaside resort of Ahlbeck is the time-honored Ahlbeck pier. Built in 1898 as an open platform with four corner towers, the structure only received its current closed appearance in 1952. It is the only remaining historic pier on the German Baltic Sea coast.
A good half a century before the pier was built, the seaside resort history in Ahlbeck began with the construction of the first guesthouses. Many villas followed later in the style of spa architecture with wooden verandas in front. In addition to imposing stone buildings, wooden villas with playful details were also built. A walk through Goethestrasse, Bismarckstrasse, Kaiserstrasse or Kurstrasse with their beautiful villas brings the seaside resort's founding years to life.
The Ostsee-Therme Usedom, on the other hand, is modern. It allows for relaxing hours all year round, either splashing around in the swimming paradise, relaxing in the sauna world or exercising in the health studio.

Ahlbeck's tourist information is located directly on the beach promenade at Dünenstraße 45. Tourists can also get information around the clock at the info points of the imperial baths (touch monitors). An information point is located diagonally opposite the spa administration at the Ahlbeck pier.
