Usedom Gallery Photo-Art
The Usedom Gallery Foto-Art opened its doors in 2020. Under the direction of Henry Böhm and Ralf Klinkhammer, the gallery showcases the most beautiful photographic motifs our sunny island of Usedom has to offer. Located directly on the promenade yet in a secluded setting near the Heringsdorf pier.
ART HALL AHLBECK / BookArt Usedom
At the Ahlbeck UBB train station, you can admire works by Armin Müller-Stahl, Günther Grass, and Heinrich Kiefer, among others. Oil paintings, lacquer paintings, pencil sketches, landscape and figure paintings, and even individual sculptures are gathered under the roof of the historic station. Right next door is a small bookstore, which offers everything from old classics to all the latest releases.
Köpp Gallery
In 2004, Volker Köpp opened his gallery here in Ahlbeck. The works he exhibits in this building are all his own creations. The diversity of different art styles represented in the artist's works is a key feature of his painting.
Art Pavilion Heringsdorf
Not only is its architecture exceptional, but the exhibitions are also truly special. The art pavilion has been located on Heringsdorf's beach promenade since 1970. It is a sought-after exhibition space not only for local artists but also for artists from across Germany.
Hans Werner Richter House
This house on Waldstrasse in Bansin focuses on the life story of Hans Werner Richter. This includes exhibits of old letters and his original study. A small exhibition dedicated to Carola Stern is also located in this house. Furthermore, there is a small library, which also houses the most famous works of Hans Werner Richter.
Walentowski Gallery
Heinrich Walentowski opened his first company in 1968. A lot has happened since then. Together with his son Christoph, he has managed a total of 2000 galleries worldwide since 16. Among the artists are numerous stars, and works of art feature sparkling personalities such as Udo Lindenberg, Otto Waalkes, and Frank Zander.
More information is available on the Walentowski Galleries website.
Villa Irmgard
This villa is no ordinary villa. Everything from events and painting classes to small theater performances takes place here. Villa Irmgard is also a small museum housing Wilhelminian and Art Nouveau antiques. In 1922, the Russian writer Maxim Gorky stayed here for health reasons, received his most famous fellow writers, and even wrote his autobiography here. The Maxim Gorky Room is still almost completely preserved, as he left it in 1922.
House of the guest
The Guest House at Bansin's pier is not only an exhibition space for paintings, but it's also the first point of contact for people who want to learn more about the region, need brochures, or want to buy tickets. This house also has a small hall for concerts, readings, lectures, and more.
