Family Time at the Kaiserbäder at a Glance

Family Vacation on the Baltic Sea Beach

The 12-kilometer-long, fine-sand Baltic Sea beach on Usedom is the perfect place for a family vacation. Whether building sandcastles, collecting seashells, swimming, or flying kites—every day here is an adventure. During the summer months, a variety of hands-on activities at the play beach in Heringsdorf provide plenty of fun, while the sports beach in Ahlbeck delights visitors with its range of sports and games. At several locations along the beach, you can ride a banana boat, jump on a trampoline, or rent a pedal boat or SUP. Even in the cooler months, the beach and the piers invite you to experience the typical Baltic Sea weather.

Field Trips & Adventures for Kids

Even away from the beach, there’s plenty to discover in the Kaiserbäder of Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf, and Bansin. The spa and healing forest—including the children’s healing forest—boat tours, and nature experiences in the hinterland ensure a varied vacation. Many attractions combine play, physical activity, and nature and are ideal for families with children.

Play & Discover

Whether right on the promenade or surrounded by greenery—numerous themed playgrounds and activity areas, as well as the Baumwipfelpfad Usedom, invite children to climb, run around, and explore.

The Children's Healing Forest

In what is arguably the most idyllic part of the spa and therapeutic forest, the first children’s therapeutic forest opened in 2021. It’s a very special place where nature-based therapy areas designed specifically for children have been created. Climbing, swinging, walking barefoot, testing the “courage stairs,” lying in the moss, and identifying sounds—a journey of discovery awaits in the Children’s Healing Forest, nestled among beech and pine trees.

Theo the Forest Spirit provides instructions and tips during the adventures.

Adventures in Any Weather

Whether it’s sunny, windy, or rainy—there’s plenty for families to do in the Kaiserbäder on Usedom, no matter the season. Even in bad weather, exciting attractions for children—such as the Tropenzoo Bansin, the children’s library, or the OstseeTherme Usedom, which offers year-round swimming fun—ensure a varied and enjoyable vacation.
