The municipality of Ostseebad Heringsdorf is a beautiful municipality on the island of Usedom. It is located in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district and has around 8400 residents. The Imperial Baths are known as a popular travel destination with over 3,9 million overnight stays per year. This makes us the largest tourism community in the tourist region of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. While the imperial baths of Ahlbeck, Bansin and Heringsdorf are located on the bright, fine sandy Baltic Sea beach, the districts are embedded in an attractive lake and natural landscape. The nearest large cities are Świnoujście in Poland and the Hanseatic city of Greifswald. The unique spa architecture, which is impressively displayed throughout the entire place, is unmistakable. Modern, stylish and historic hotel and guesthouse buildings, renovated train stations, residential areas and housing estates with a special quality of life, attractive shops and restaurants also characterize the townscape.
