How much is the tourist tax and why do I have to pay it?

In the pre-season (January 1st – March 31st, 2026) €2,90

During peak season (April 1st – October 31st, 2026) €3,70

Off-season (November 1st – December 31st, 2026) €3,00

You must pay the spa tax if you are staying in Ahlbeck, Bansin and/or Heringsdorf for recreational purposes, as these are spa towns. You will then receive the UsedomCard the Imperial Spas.

The revenue is used, among other things, to pay for cleaning the promenade, repairs, and events in the Imperial Spas.

Furthermore, the UsedomCard offers various advantages, such as discounts at partner businesses, free use of bus services in the Imperial Spas, use of various sports facilities and public toilets.

In the Imperial Spas you have the opportunity to travel with your Dog to visit the beach. However, dogs must be kept on a leash, and there are specific sections where you are allowed to take your dog.

On Usedom, especially in the Imperial Spas, there are a large number of hotels or holiday apartments.
