Program 2025/XNUMX/XNUMX
Friday 13.06.
Picnic in Goethe Park
The “GM of Guitar” will open the jazz festival with a musical picnic in the park under this year’s motto “Swing to Salsa.” The four “German Masters of Guitar” Helmut “Joe” Sachse, Uwe Kropinski, Gerhard “Charlie” Eitner and Jürgen Heckel represent a generation of musicians who gave jazz – especially in the GDR – and still gives it its distinctive, singular musical signature – now throughout Germany and beyond.
From 17: 00 clock On Friday afternoon, they will be coming together for the first time in a joint concert on stage at Goethepark, performing as soloists, as well as in "old" and "new" duo constellations. And, of course, a part in a quartet!
Saturday 14.06.
19:00 PM Wood and Brass Band – The children’s and youth band from Poland ensures a good atmosphere
20:30 p.m. Schumann Combo
With wit, charm, and esprit, the SCHUMANN COMBO (Max Semrau on saxophone and keyboard, Carsten Gradmann on drums, Robert Göber on double bass, Roberto Schumann on guitar and banjo) performs their own compositions from their new CD "Girl vom Borkenstrand" as well as popular jazz classics in a Schumannian, swinging, groovy style. Prepare to be surprised by a multifaceted concert guaranteed to put you in a good mood!
22:00 PM Mayelis Guyat and Band
Sunday 15.06.
Morning pint at the train station
The jazz festival concludes with a musical morning drink at the historic train station
11:00 a.m. Mayelis Guyat and Quartet
With salsa and jazz, Cuban-born Mayelis and her band infect the audience with a mixture of joie de vivre and joy – just like her role models Celia Cruz, Isaac Delgado and Gilberto Santa Rosa.
