Newcomer concerts
again in June 2026
Ahlbeck concert venue

Addicted to squeaky, happy music? Or rather to fat beats, with a mixture of lascivious soul, lively folk, groovy rock and dance floor - indie pop or emotional singer-songwriter? Surprising, deliberately free of frills, with powerful guitar riffs and noticeable dynamics or gentle with great ballads in an emotional sound and with lyrics for the soul's hunger.

VIRUNUM

19:30 p.m.

VIRUNUM is a young indie-pop band from Dresden. With their distinctive sound, characterized by multifaceted arrangements, profound lyrics, and just the right amount of optimism and energy, they are forging their own unique indie sound. Their debut EP, "Zusammen nicht allein" (Together Not Alone), was released on August 1, 2025 – a call to inner strength, an expression of their musical diversity, and a reminder of their youth in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

EGON WERLER

21:00 p.m.

Egon WerlerEgon, the 20-year-old singer-songwriter from Berlin, is a rising newcomer who captivates audiences with emotional lyrics and a distinctive voice. Growing up in a creative environment, he was on stage at the Friedrichstadt-Palast from an early age, where he was part of the youth ensemble for over ten years. He is self-taught on piano, guitar, and vocals. Since his – for him, surprising – victory on "The Voice Kids" in 2021 and the courageous decision to turn down the record deal he won, Egon has consistently pursued his own path – with authenticity, creativity, and a clear artistic vision. In 2023, Egon became the youngest recipient of the Hanns Seidel Foundation's Young Songwriters' Advancement Award, once again demonstrating that he is among the most promising talents of his generation. After three headlining tours and a full summer supporting Silbermond, he proved that he is not only a captivating songwriter but also a compelling live performer. His music moves somewhere between honest, heart-wrenching ballads and summer-hit-worthy indie-pop bangers with flowing parts. His second EP, "nothing to lose"—his first solo record—will be released on December 12th. Where others start to catch their breath, for Egon, it's just beginning.

ROSEMARY

21:00 p.m.

rosemaryThis is the golden mean between perfectionism and lightness, between nerd sound and easy listening, between rich detail and minimalism. rosmarin is hazy yet crystal clear, wide awake yet dreamy, driving but never hectic. rosmarin creeps up on you and explodes, inviting you to dance and dream alternately, crossing euphoria and sensitivity. rosmarin is everyday poetry, vibe and the beauty of the banal, building up and tearing down, a little bit purple and a little bit green. rosmarin is five fifths that make up a broad whole; it's warm indie pop seasoned with funk and a dash of electronic dance music. Rosmarin is a young band that blends challenging and playful instrumentals with dreamy songwriting to create a unique sound—with the constant aim of stimulating their own love of music in the best possible way. Driven by a yearning for the stage and the dream of the perfect song, the five-piece will storm onto the German music scene in spring 2024 with their debut EP.

VAUH

19:00 p.m.

What happens when dreamy pop music meets harsh reality? A unique mix of profound lyrics, booming bass, and catchy, danceable tunes: The 27-year-old newcomer from Rostock refuses to be pigeonholed and combines influences from diverse genres such as pop, hip-hop, and soul to create his very own "Urban Pop".
With the upcoming “Negativ” EP, the local artist is taking a completely new direction and opening up a sound world that lies somewhere between deep house beats, distorted guitars and the pulse of the big city.

Vauh already has quite a track record. He has nearly 30 original songs in his repertoire, has released an LP and three EPs, and has played at numerous festivals. He grew up with hip-hop, and this is still evident in his music, even though it's becoming increasingly urban and poppy. His debut album, "Ton in Ton," already features a mix of catchy vocal melodies and harder-edged rap passages. Music producer Don Bosi has been behind Vauh from the very beginning. His songs are also produced by Christoph Schlieter with musician DeLaurin, who also plays drums at his live concerts. Vauh is further supported on stage by singer Jördis. All the artists are from Rostock.

TWO PENNIES

20:45 p.m.

Two Pennies Initially conceived as a studio project in 2024, the band consists of three Rostock-based musicians: Julian Müller (vocals/guitar), Jan Arne Seep (keys/synths), and Sönke Brockmann (drums), who previously played together in the alternative rock band "Jane and the Rain." With Two Pennies, they are opening a new musical chapter, blending rock with soul, blues, and pop-funk. Their sound is characterized by distinctive grooves, powerful guitars, and soulful harmonies – with a recognizable vintage vibe and a clear, contemporary sound. The songs combine catchy riffs, striking keyboard lines, and quieter passages into diverse arrangements where melody, rhythm, and lyrics intertwine. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2025. The trio is already working on new songs, which will now be performed live for the first time.
