Tourist Tax Ordinance
The seaside health resorts in the municipality of Ostseebad Heringsdorf Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf, Bansin with the districts of Bansin-Dorf, Gothen, Neu- and Alt-Sallenthin are state-approved health resorts within the meaning of the health resort law of the state of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. A tourism tax is levied by the municipality of Ostseebad Heringsdorf to cover the expenses for tourism advertising.

The districts of the municipality of Ostseebad Heringsdorf - the seaside health resorts of Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin and Seebad Heringsdorf as well as the districts of Gothen, Bansin Dorf, Neu Sallenthin, Alt Sallenthin and Sellin - are state-approved health resorts within the meaning of the health resort law of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
Application for visiting close relatives
Parents, children, grandchildren or siblings of people who have their habitual residence in the survey area are exempt from the visitor's tax if they are taken into their household without remuneration.

The provisions of this statute apply to bathing operations on the Baltic Sea beach in the municipality of Ostseebad Heringsdorf. The bathing operation also includes the installation of beach chairs, the supply of beach visitors and the installation of sports equipment.

The statute on the restrictions on public use on the beach of the municipality of Ostseebad Heringsdorf, which is subject to special use, limits the permits for setting up private beach chairs to one beach chair per household for residents and second home owners.
