Spa Tax
The UsedomCard ensures that you can >experience the sea.< during your stay and vacation. With it you not only make an important contribution to the maintenance and further development of the tourist infrastructure, but also get more advantages and experiences during the best time of the year.
your contribution I As state-recognized seaside resorts, Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin levy a resort tax, upon payment of which you will receive the so-called UsedomCard. The proceeds flow into the areas of information, cleanliness, security and culture. Last but not least, the pot is used to finance concerts and events, cleaning the beach and public toilets, maintaining and planting the promenade, and providing and paying for the water rescue service. As a guest, you benefit from the visitor's tax retrospectively.
Your benefits With the UsedomCard, you receive numerous free experiences such as concerts, guided tours, and hikes. You also have free access to our Kaiserbäder sports beach during the summer months and our activity promenades year-round. Furthermore, you can use the local bus service, especially the Kaiserbäder line operated by VVG (Verkehrsgesellschaft Vorpommern-Greifswald mbH), use them free of charge and thus move around in the towns of Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin.

Please carry your UsedomCard with you at all times. It must be presented during checks by the public order office of the Imperial Spas.

Then go on an island discovery tour: Whether it's backwater or backcountry, fishing villages or northern resorts - the UsedomCard and the UBB will also take you to the remote corners of our beautiful island.

Since April 1, 2023, the spa card has been the UsedomCard. It is therefore a ticket for the entire bus route network of the Usedomer Bäderbahn (UBB)*.
Every guest at the Kaiserbäder receives their UsedomCard after paying the spa tax. It serves as a ticket for the entire UBB regional bus network - both on the island of Usedom and in the Wolgast urban area as well as between Wolgast and Lubmin. You can use it to travel between the imperial baths with the Usedomer Bäderbahn buses or use it for excursions to the island's highlights - for example with the Achterwasser tour on the trail of the sea eagle or with the Hafftour on a trip to the picturesque shipping villages such as Kamminke. But the UsedomCard offers numerous other advantages.

Take the bus on the Kaiserbäder line
Ride for free: The Kaiserbäder line 290/291 is the local bus service in Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf, and Bansin. You can also use all VVG buses within the municipality of Ostseebad Heringsdorf.
During peak season: Free use of the hop-on-hop-off boat service in the Imperial Spas
With the UsedomCard of the Imperial Spas, you have the opportunity to... Hop-on-hop-off boat service between the piers of Ahlbeck and Heringsdorf and Bansin, as well as to Swinemünde with the Adler Nordica use free of charge.

We recommend collecting your return tickets from the Adler-Schiffe pavilions at the piers, upon presentation of your UsedomCard from the Imperial Spas.
During peak season: Use of the ILSE bus from the outlying districts
From April 1st to October 31st, 2026, the ILSE bus can be used from the districts of Gothen, Sellin, and Sallenthin to connect to the hubs (Bansin Seepark/train station, Heringsdorf train station) of the Imperial Spas. Within these districts, travel on the ILSE bus is free with the UsedomCard of the Imperial Spas and is possible daily from 8:00 a.m. to 20:00 p.m.
The ILSE bus operates without a timetable or route, entirely according to the mobility needs of its customers. Booking is very easy: simply call 03976 240240. Internet or via the ILSE app.

Free admission to numerous events in the Imperial Spas
Whether it's music, a festival or a market - with the UsedomCard the doors to numerous events in the imperial baths are open to you. From the Winter Beach Festival in January to the Magical Winter World in December, you can experience events in the Imperial Baths free of charge in every month of the year with the UsedomCard.
Free use of the sports facilities in the imperial baths
While the active promenades on the promenade in Ahlbeck, which offer obstacles and challenges for muscle strength and endurance, can be used free of charge all year round, the sports beach at the Kaiserbäder opens its doors in summer, where numerous offers can be used free of charge upon presentation of the UsedomCard.* *Except for courses external provider

Free use of the public toilets in the Imperial Baths
There are 22 public toilets on the kilometer-long promenade from the Polish border in Ahlbeck to the Langen Berg in Bansin, 15 of which are handicapped accessible.
Free provision of dog bags in the imperial baths
At the four dog beaches in the Imperial Baths, furry friends can play, bathe and lounge around to their heart's content. However, in order for people and dogs to get along smoothly, there is not only an obligation in the imperial baths to leash your four-legged friend, but also to remove his legacies. For the second, dispensers with free dog bags are available at the numerous public toilets.

Prices 2026
In accordance with the statutes of the municipality of Ostseebad Heringsdorf regarding the collection of a spa tax, the following daily tax amounts are set.
Children up to the age of 6 are exempt from the spa tax if they provide appropriate proof.
