There are currently 30 singers and musicians participating in the Shanty Choir "Neptun" at the North- Baltic Sea Canal.
It was founded in 1991 by singing-loving employees of the Water and Shipping Authority in Kiel-Holtenau. The choir has retained this founding spirit over the years. Maritime songs and traditional shanties are performed from a repertoire of over 75 songs from around the world.
