A musical approach to the poet Hans Leip
At the age of 22, the Hamburg poet Hans Leip wrote the lyrics to "Lili Marleen" and thus became immortal (although the song did not become a worldwide hit until 26 years later). But of course Hans Leip wrote many other wonderful poems - often set to music by Norbert Schultze or himself. And a huge number of stories. All about the sea and seafaring.
Johannes Kirchberg gives the poems a new, unique music and thus, based on Leip's biography, a very personal insight into Hamburg in the 20s and the difficult “getting through the time” afterwards.
With the express permission and consent of the rights holders of Hans Leip's works, Kirchberg was allowed to re-set the works to music.
Doors open at 19:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the tourist information offices, at www.kaiserbaeder-auf-usedom.de and remaining tickets at the box office - entrance fee: €16,00.
