When Thomas Stelzer (p, voc) founded a gospel choir in 1999 and named it "The Gospel Passengers", nobody suspected what a successful musical endeavor it would become:
Since then, well over 500 concerts, guest appearances on television, collaborations with "special guests" such as Edwin Hawkins, Chris Barber, Inga Rumpf, Gunther Emmerlich, Bernita Bush, Pamella Landrum, Mama Bay, Alex Exson, Benny Turner, John Fohl, Marc Adams &&& ...
Eight CDs have been released so far under Thomas's direction, with over 100 tracks specially arranged and rehearsed for the choir. All the singers do this in their free time, dedicating a great deal of time and effort to this project. Up to 20 tracks are performed in concert, and several soloists have emerged who also perform their own songs.
