After a large group hunt in Wendland, one of the participants goes missing. Shortly afterwards, the man is found brutally murdered in a clearing. The victim was killed with multiple stab wounds, the first of which was fatal. The ferocity with which the act was carried out leads Carla Seidel to suspect a crime of revenge.

Meanwhile, Carla's daughter Lana has other worries: Why did her crush, Fabian, take her into the woods the night before the murder? Does he know more than he's letting on? Before she can confront him, another murder occurs. While Carla frantically searches for the perpetrator, he already has his next victim in his sights. And Lana is getting dangerously close...
