Reading with actor Hannes Rittig
For the second time, actor Hannes Rittig from Greifswald will be reading at Villa Irmgard. For this occasion, he will be tackling Maxim Gorky. He has chosen Gorky's novella "Konovalov" because, on the one hand, it contains autobiographical elements of the author, and, on the other, reading and reading aloud play a central role in this novella.
The search for responsibility for one's own happiness is a perennially nagging question for Konovalov, a vagrant, fisherman, journeyman baker, and construction worker. Does the illiterate man get the answer while baking bread from his helper and comrade Maxim, or even from his books?
Hannes Rittig will lend his voice to the characters in Gorky's book, the melancholic Konovalov, the bibliophile Maxim, the master baker Vasily Semyonich and the merchant's daughter and prostitute Kapitolina - in a story about the bitter life in Russia around 1900 and the great value of books.
Admission: 19:00 p.m., tickets are available at the tourist information offices, at www.kaiserbaeder-auf-usedom.de and remaining tickets at the box office - admission: 16,00 €.
