Inspiring As a paraphrase: four people, rocking and melodic guitars, pulsating bass, penetrating drums, atmospheric synths. What remains is post-rock. The band name simply sums up: "Inspiration." The band was founded in 4. It started with just two guitarists. A drummer and bassist followed shortly thereafter. With that, the band was complete. From then on, we put the finishing touches on the existing songs and created new ones. In 2013, we played our first public gig at the "Fête de la Musique" festival in Rostock.
The songs of Inspierty, whose names can easily be associated with otherworldly things, are as varied and melancholic as the universe itself...
That Manuel Schmid It has long been known that he has been committed to preserving East German songs in his concerts for many years. He presents works that can primarily be assigned to the "art era" of the 70s and combines them with his own solo pieces. Works such as "Albatros" by Karat, "Das Bild" from Electra's "Sistine Madonna", "Wenn der Abend kommt" by Holger Biege, "Wie ein Fischlein unterm Eis" by Karussell or the magnificent "Sommernacht" by Lift - Manuel Schmid manages to stay astonishingly close to the original while still incorporating his own signature. It is a homage to Germany's oldest record label, AMIGA. It shows what wonderful and profound music was made at a time when sales figures were not the primary concern and music was still given room to develop. Manuel Schmid deserves great thanks for this. All composers, lyricists, publishers and estate administrators are involved in this project and have personally given him permission to perform it. In addition, the album features original songs that draw on the musical and lyrical DNA of East German rock and build a bridge to the modern era. Two influential musical minds have joined forces on this theme. Manuel Schmid has already caused quite a stir in the German-speaking music scene with his previous albums.
Marek Arnold has long been a fixture in the international progressive rock scene and has released joint albums with Steve Hackett (Genisis), Jon Anderson (Yes) and Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater). Both are united by their musical work with the German art rock legend STERN-COMBO MEISSEN and their love of sophisticated music and poetry, which is also reflected in their two joint albums "Ziele" and "Zeiten". Now the two musicians present a consistent symbiosis of their musical strengths. The profound lyrics run like a common thread through the multi-layered arrangements. In doing so, they intelligently bridge the gap between pop, rock, jazz and classical music into the modern age.
