“Gerd Brummund & cool colleagues” with “Nordic, light & relaxed”

All members were born in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and still live here! Gerd Brummund has been writing for many years, also known under the stage name Willi Freibier, Songs in High and Low German. These were and are very successful in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and beyond the state borders on radio, television, YouTube and various social media platforms.

In August 2025, the three musicians Gerd Brummund (guitar, vocals), Thomas Braun (violin, horn, vocals), and Jens Rosengarten (bass, vocals) decided to found this group. Their collaboration is based on decades of experience in successful band and solo projects, as well as their work together in the group "Folk-GBr. & co Kg." The three founding members is "Folk-GBr. & co Kg" (FOLK - Gerd Brummund & cool colleagues) have reformed under the name "Gerd Brummund & cool colleagues" and present their own songs as well as songs from various musical genres, which they have arranged for their program. The song announcements are performed with a relaxed, lighthearted, humorous, and typically North German style.
