Born in Weimar in 1954
1973-76 NVA
1976-81 Studied painting and graphic arts at the HfBK Dresden
Since 1981, I have worked freelance as a painter, graphic artist and sculptor in Weimar.
1984-90 Member of the VBK-DDR
1990-2020 in the artists' group D.206-The Thuringian Secession
married, three adult children

1991 Working grant from the Senate of West Berlin
1992 Residency grant in Schleswig-Holstein at the artists' house in Lauenburg
1992-93 Study stay in Amsterdam
1993 – 94 Käthe Dorsch Foundation grant for printmaking in Copenhagen
1994 Moved to Weimar and received a work grant from the Free State of Thuringia
2023-24 Moved back to Hellerau, new studio in Coswig near Dresden
